ATCHISON WALKING & FELL RUNNING - CROSS SECTIONS

All of the 50 Big Walks in our books have a Cross Section.

This is done to give a very quick and fun visual explanation to the day.

There are different height lines for each walk, depending on the height of the highest hills in the area.

The summits of the major hills are marked, along with any beacons or lighthouses that are of significant note.

Beer glasses show the time that you pass the front of a pub, and with the name too. This way you can check the name of the pub on the web to see opening hours and menus beforehand. (Jug glass is more of a traditional pub, and a straight glass is more of a modern lager style pub). Tea mugs illustrate where tea shops may be found too.
