This is a massive outcrop and spreads all alongside the hill, with many gullies, nooks and crannies. The area is directly above a nice forest restaurant called Chalet Jobert, and which provides excellent meals, especially on cold winters nights with a roasting log fire. The assortment of problems is magnificent here, with giant circuits of around 70 problems on each. You will find the biggest highballs of the forest here, and the 12 metre high Dame Jouanne itself is a full on epic for those with nerves. The hillside is soft sand and you do get landslip. This means that some areas will be fenced off, and can easily be avoided.
