PORTUGAL - SPORT ONSIGHT BOULDERING - PENINHA

POSITION: Next to the side of the mountain road that runs over the top of the Sintra Hills, to the west of the village and west of Lisbon. The blocs are concentrated in two groups and offer bouldering in the shade and high up. It can get very chilly compared with down by the beach.

50 Blocs with all grades of problems. There is a lot of lichen from the damp conditions that prevail in this area, but the moss has been cleaned from all the problems and doesn't present a problem. The highest quality white granite that you will find. Not extensive bouldering, but a lot to play around on, plus picnic tables and welcome shade.

A couple of famous problems with Kalashnikov 7b+ and Moon Arete 7c+. Very good also in the lower grades with some nice f-5a/6c problems. There are also some boulders still waiting to be devleloped too.
